Cliff Schertz
Founder and CEO
Cliff Schertz is the founder and chief executive officer of Tiempo Development, where he is responsible for the strategic vision of the company. For over 25 years, Schertz has been leading and growing successful technology service companies, enabling his customers to achieve superior performance, high customer satisfaction and profitability.
Prior to Tiempo Development, Schertz was CEO of Camisa Technologies, where he and his team implemented and integrated customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions for hundreds of mid-sized companies such as United Concordia, Motorola, Weitz Construction, Harlan Bakeries and Best Western International. Prior to Camisa, Schertz also served as Vice President of the CRM National Practice for ePartners and grew the ePartners from zero CRM sales to becoming the national sales leader for SalesLogix, Onyx, Pivotal and Siebel mid-market software companies.
Schertz has a degree in Electronic Technology from Texas State Technical College and an MBA from Arizona State University's WP Carey School of Business.
Bruce Steele
Senior Vice President of Corporate Development
As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Bruce Steele is responsible for business development, marketing, and talent management.
Mr. Steele brings more than 20 years of executive level management experience focused on marketing, sales and operations in leading technology consulting firms.
Before joining Tiempo Development, Mr. Steele was a Principal with Paranet, a foremost IT managed services firm, where he was responsible for business development, marketing and sales functions. Steele previously served in a number of key leadership roles for ePartners -including EVP of Global Sales and Strategy- and was instrumental in the company’s growth from a $5m start-up to a $90m consulting company; ePartners was twice awarded Microsoft’s prestigious Global Partner of the Year during Steele’s tenure. Mr. Steele has held numerous other senior executive positions with technology integrators, consulting and engineering firms. He combines knowledgeable technology expertise and business experience with a commitment to clients’ success.
Mr. Steele earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Roger Fordham
Vice President of Software Engineering
As Vice President of Software Engineering, Roger Fordham manages the development operations for Tiempo Development in Sonora, Mexico. He is responsible for building a world-class development organization through quality processes, talent acquisition, training & development, and operations management.
Prior to Tiempo, Fordham was a software development executive with Motorola for over 15 years. During that time, he started up, managed, led and developed world-class software development organizations from the hundreds to thousands in size in 23 locations in 16 countries. He has created high performing development operations in India, China, and Australia. Fordham has also had leadership and management roles with global companies including Thorn Automation (UK), General Electric (UK), and Perkam (UK). Roger has lived and worked on four continents.
Fordham is an acclaimed software development expert and has lectured at many national and international conferences relating to Software Development, Software Engineering, Software Quality and Culture. Roger has either led or been a member of SEI Assessments in the US, Russia, China, and India.
Fordham has a BS in Electronics and postgraduate work in Cybernetics (ABD).
Maria Gotes
Vice President Strategic Initiatives
As Vice PresidentStrategic Initiatives, Maria Gotes is responsible for special projects, strategic relationships with Mexican government and educational institutions, corporate development, investor relations, and HR for US based employees. She is based at the Tempe, AZ headquarters.
Maria Gotesserved as Operations Manager of Tiempo Development from 2007 to 2010; managing recruiting, facilities, administration, and HR for the company.
A native of Sonora, Mexico, Gotes graduated from Arizona State University (ASU) in 1999 with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and a Certificate in International Business. Later, she worked for ASU as the Assistant Director for International MBA Programs. During this time she also obtained her Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Mike Fron
Vice President of Tiempo Express
As Vice Presidentof Tiempo Express, Mike Fron is responsible for developing and maintaining channel relationships, business development, and managing the project based delivery team.
Mr. Fron brings more than 18 years of senior level management experience focused on consulting, sales and operations in leading technology consulting firms.
Before joining Tiempo Development, Mr. Fron led his start-up organization development consulting firm. Fron also served as Director of Great Lakes Region for RSM McGladrey’s packaged solution business unit where he was responsible for evaluating client’s software needs, managing software sales, consulting, and solution delivery. Mr. Fron was a co-founder for a start-up value added reseller in Chicago with revenues exceeding $10M. Mr. Fron sold his business to ePartners and became Regional Vice President of Consulting for ePartners’ Midwest Region.
Mr. Fron earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from DeVry University.
Rick Stoddard
Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Rick Stoddard is responsible for key account management, sales, and business development.
With over 30 years experience as an entrepreneur, business leader, sales trainer and executive, Mr. Stoddard has a history of successfully working with technology companies, from Fortune 500 to start ups.
Prior to joining Tiempo Development, Mr. Stoddard was Principal & Founder of Performance Plus, a performance development consulting firm. He was also President & Co-Founder of S&S Technologies, a technical sales and service organization.
Mr. Stoddard brings a unique business perspective shaped by his academic discipline and his leadership positions in sales and marketing organizations. A deep appreciation of the true essence of business creation, Stoddard is skilled at attracting and nurturing significant and rewarding client relationships.
Stoddard earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
Rafael Renteria
Vice President of Administration and Finance
As Vice President of Administration and Finance, Rafael Renteria has responsibility for Tiempo’s financial planning and the day to day performance of the Company’s finance and accounting functions. He is also assisting with capital planning and development. Mr Renteria is based at the Hermosillo facility.
As a former Financial and Fiscal consultant with different US and Mexican companies, Renteria brings solid expertise to drive Tiempo’s sustainable financial growth. Before joining the company, Renteria served as Tax Officer at SAT, then as Financial Regional Manager at Volkswagen de Mexico. He also acted as Operations Manager for Sonoran Resorts, the most successful beachfront resort company in Sonora targeting the US market.
Rafael Renteria earned an MBA in Finance from EGADE Business School and is currently attending a Master's program in Finance. He also has a Bachelor degree in Accounting and other studies at UMASS Boston and Harvard Extension School.
